Iran's Ayatollal Ali Khamenei spoke at a crowded prayer meeting yesterday.
He described how a US, or Israeli, stike on Iran's nuclear facilites would lead to uncontrollable war.
He needs to engage in hyperbole to arouse the masses, but nobody should ignore this man.In the speech, he described Israel as a "cancer" that needs to be cut out.
This is rhetoric that will not be taken lightly in Israel.Like Hitler in his Mein Kampf , the Ayatollal is describing a new "final solution", a new Holocaust .
The Ayatollal is a political fascist. This Ayatollal is a fake; a fascist garbed in the clothing of a religious savior.
The Iranians, expecially the young, need to overthrow his regime.
And replacing the Syrian dictatorship would be a good start. But the beating of the war drums among our own neo-cons. and elements of the Israeli Likud Party needs to be silenced.A aerial attack on Iran is an act of war; and the results are unpredictable.

(..Keep The Safety Net Safe From Mitt Romney (Limerick)
By Madeleine Begun Kane

Find some holes in the safety net? “Fix it!”
That’s how hypocrite Romney depicts it.
But we’re onto Mitt’s game
And his policy aim:
What his policies do is deep-six it...)

*****************************
Yes, Mitt's comment "I'm not concerned about the very poor. There is a safety net..." was taken out of context.
He also said the very rich were doing alright.
He was really concerned with the 90-95% who are not very rich or very poor.

1. But Mitt's statement on the safety net is Doublespeak .
His policy proposals would tear the safety net to shreds.

On his website, he vows to block grant Medicaid, the health program for the low income strata. He would give states a grant of a fixed amount, to rise only with inflation, to pay for its' medicaid program. States, particularly the poorer states, would slice and dice Medicaid.

Would Mitt link the Medicaid block grant with a requirement that states' make their taxes more progressive? LOL.

He would also block grant the grabbag of "welfare" programs , and have the states' debate on to spend it.

He would introduce IRA's, or individual savings accounts, for younger workers...giving them a choice of that or the current mandatory SS program.
If the younger workers opt out of SS, how will current beneficiaries continue to get their earned monthly check?

The NYT’s liberal columnist Charles Blow has a good read this morning, describing how Mitt’s policies would shred the safety net.

You crack me up, Buster.

For a minute there, you had me believing that you would prefer ANY female candidate -- even this crotch-grabbing lunatic -- just because they're female.

The Senate GOP Campaign Committee's track record in Republican Primaries is laughable. They have spent millions -- and lost badly -- against penniless challengers to their annointed candidates in recent years. If Colovita has a few bucks, he can do more than make a race of it. As far as laying down the law, I doubt anyone will get Colavita (or his dad, the former Repub State/County Chairman) to back down. Bring it on!

[Cuomo spokesman Josh Vlasto called JCOPE’s new executive director, Ellen Biben, “the most successful public integrity prosecutor in modern political history.”]

Can Vlasto's prove his grandiose statement? Does he know the history of similar prosecutors in other states? Or is he just talking out of his butt?

BTW, it's easy to go after a bunch of dudes hiding out in their man cave or a wayward archivist stealing historic letters. We have no idea if Ms. Biben would have the guts to prosecute Cuomo, Schwartz, Glaser et al should the need arise.

BTW, what ever happened to that woman who was a retired bigshot from T&F and was still on the T&F payroll? That was despite her living in Florida(?). It was during Megna's tenure there? It was swept under the ruug by Cuomo, IMHO. How about prosecuting everyone involved with that caper?

[Roseanne Barr is seeking the Green Party nomination for president.]

Sounds good to me. How could she possibly be worse than the two (male, of course) corporate lackeys that the Republicrats will nominate?

A prissy, pink handgun is NOT the way to put the fear of god into someone who means you harm.
