More Shouty Video From The Queens LATFOR Hearing (Update)
Here, via a Republican source, is another look at the contentious LATFOR hearing in Queens earlier this week.
This video shows Republican LATFOR co-chairman Sen. Michael Nozzolio saying that courtesy dictates lawmakers testify before “members of the community,” but offered to let the lawmakers defer to the regular folks in the room.
Both Sens. Michael Gianaris and Tony Avella testified at the hearing at the start. Gianaris points out in the video that he’s technically a member of the community, too.
The GOPer notes: “For all of their talk about putting the residents of Queens first, Senator Gianaris and Senator Avella are putting themselves first.”
Update: Several Democratic staffers have pointed out that video from the LATFOR hearings (like the one I was sent) haven’t actually been posted in full to the Web.
“I would hope that the Senate Republicans would immediately make the entire video of the Queens hearing available to the public,” said Senate Democratic spokesman Mike Murphy. “It is unfortunate that they have continuously refused to livestream or post these videos in a timely manner.”
