Below is the new map for the state Senate and Assembly maps. We’re analyzing them now, but feel free to sound off in the comments.

AD 18 looks like a “Running Robot” or a “Purse Snatcher” seen from behind. Don’t groan. Better coming from me than someone who disrespects my former colleagues.

AD 101 is particularly bizarre. A dragon? A javelin thrower? 200 mile drive to stay within the bounds of the the district and drive from Saugerties to Ellenville.
It would be an open seat.

In my territory, SD-57 remains practically unchanged. AD-149 (now, oddly, renumbered AD-141) gives up the eastern part of Chautauqua County and takes on the rest of Allegany County and a chunk of Steuben. Those are among the most sensible by the looks of things… and boy, those are some ugly districts.

If I were Cuomo, there is no way I could possibly sign off on these districts.
