Closing Corporate Tax Loopholes
The changes to the personal income tax made back in December meant that state lawmakers got a big jump on this year’s budget. But there is still a multibillion dollar deficit. To help fill in the gap, a coalition of groups are calling for closing corporate tax loopholes and strenghtening enforcement of tax law. New Yorkers for Fiscal Fairness’s Ron Deutch, Michael Kink of Strong Economy for All, and Frank Mauro of the Fiscal Policy Institute explain.
