Two Democrats, Six Republicans Vote Against Tax Plan
Eight Assembly lawmakers — two Democrats and six Republicans — voted against Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s tax overhaul measure.
The Democrats are: Inez Barron (wife of Cuomo bete noir Charles Barron) and Robin Schimminger, the conservative western New York lawmaker.
The Republicans include: Minority Leader Brian Kolb, Michael Fitzpatrick, Christopher Friend, Bob Oaks and Dan Burling.
Among those absent was William Boyland, who is facing a new round of corruption charges.
The final language bill sailed through the Senate 55-0.
