NYSCOSS Deputy Director Lowry Talks School Budgets
The New York State Council of School Superintendents surveyed superintendents about how their districts have dealt with cuts to state aid. They found that an overwhelming majority cut staff or increased class size. And many superintendents are concerned about dipping into reserve funds to cover gaps. NYSCOSS’s Robert Lowry explains the findings and how the property tax cap could affect next year’s budgets.
