Yes, we were clearly well-served by convicted criminal Joe Bruno; drunk-driving, wife-beating, party-hopping John Sweeney and of course George “Give away the store” Pataki. Real heroes for the capitol region, those three.

Well if this less than intelligent pol does get back in the majority he should read up on Roberts Rules of Order so that he doesn’t stand by clueless as the floor is wrestled away from him and the state is left with another amigo fiasco.
It all could have been avoided if the Senator was a little quicker on the uptake and had a sense of what was happening around him.
But then again, like most of the long timers hanging around the Capitol, he is just going through the motions, collecting his check- checks in his case and waiting to be told how to vote.
Time to move on like bro and bring in some new ideas to a very, very tired Capital District.

I hope you plan to visit your hero in the federal pen.
Don’t you know that all the good that Senator Joe did was for his own interest and benefit.
Who else builds a ballpark with public money and then has it named for themself- when they are living no less.
Wake up and turn the talk radio off- you will learn there’s another side.

I love talking about issues. Like the failed upstate economy, which Pataki & Bruno did nothing about. Or Albany’s culture of corruption, which they encouraged. Should we talk about selling out to special interests, or unsustainable spending increases? Are those issues you’d be comfortable discussing? Because you’re three little politicians failed at fixing all of them.

I will take issue with your claim that Bruno’s selling his office to the highest bidder was part of his “personal life”. Can you explain how running a consulting firm out of his Senate office, using Senate employees so he could get money from businesses that had interests in front of the Senate was a “personal issue”? I am clearly small minded and confused about that.

Finally, I’m happy to criticize Breslin for driving after having a few drinks – it’s wrong and he shouldn’t haev done it. But do you really want to talk about cover ups? Should we talk about Sweeney’s incident when he drove off the road and knocked out power for an entire ski resort, but was somehow never charged? Or the miraculous situation in which there were two different police reports after he beat up his wife – one telling the truth, and one that made it all look like a simple misunderstanding.
