McMillan At CPAC
New York GOP operative E. O’Brien Murray is at CPAC in Washington, D.C. and sent this photo of Jimmy McMillan, of the Rent is Too Damn High Party fame, holding court with members of the media.
McMillan, as you’ll recall, has declared his intention to run for president in 2012 as a Republican. You may consider that a stunt. Even so, it’s obvious that someone smart is advising him if he’s at CPAC, which is a must-do even for all the would-be Republican candidates who want to curry favor with conservatives.
According to Murray, McMillan drew quite a crowd…more even than several US senators, who reportedly strolled right by reporters and received no love at all.
Just this week, students trying to draft Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels into the race released a video featuring McMillan putting the following twist on his trademark line: “Deficit. Is. Too. Damn. High.” McMillan takes some swipes at President Obama in the video, but didn’t endorse Daniels.
UPDATE: Apparently, McMillan is planning to hold a press conference that will be broadcast here at 3 p.m.
