A Thanksgiving Q poll finds New Yorkers aren’t interested in sitting down to a turkey dinner with NYC Mayor Bloomberg – a fact that hasn’t changed much since the early days of his tenure.

Overall, 56 percent of city voters said “thanks, but no thanks” to the idea of sitting down to a holiday feast with the billionaire mayor. In 2003, 61 percent said they would prefer not to dine with the then-newly minted mayor.

Republican voters split,49-49, on whether they would like to break a wishbone with Bloomberg, while Democrats rejected the idea, 57-41. Even independents gave the cold shoulder to the nonpartisan mayor, 56-42.

“Happy holiday, Mayor Mike, but you’ll still have to have Thanksgiving dinner withyour family and friends – not with the voters,” said Q pollster Mickey Carroll.

“Partly for fun, partly to see how close voters felt to Mayor Mike, we asked when he was new on the job if they’d like to have Thanksgiving dinner with the mayor, and mostly New Yorkers said no,” Carroll continued. “We asked again now that the neighbors have gotten to know him. Sorry,Mayor, the numbers have improved only a bit.”
