‘I Am The Malcolm X’
A Democratic tracker caught Republican Assemblyman Greg Ball at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Peekskill last night comparing himself to Malcolm X.
Ball, who’s running for the state Senate seat being vacated by GOP Sen. Vincent Leibell, is a controversial figure.
He was not the SRCC’s first choice, but the Republicans seem more or less resigned to the fact that he’s their candidate after he defeated their preferred contender, Somers Town Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy, in the Sept. 14 primary.
Ball’s Democratic opponent, County Legislator Mike Kaplowitz, recently called the assemblyman the “Carl Paladino of the Hudson Valley.”
