Cuomo To Paladino: Keep Your Parenting Tips

Here’s video of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo denouncing, in some of his strongest language yet, the anti-gay comments made yesterday by his GOP/Conservative opponent, Carl Paladino.

I think the comments Mr. Paladino made were reckless,” Cuomo told reporters at the Columbus Day Parade in Manhattan. “I think they were divisive. They were reckless in light of the recent violence we’ve had. They were divisive.”

“They were the worst cynical politics trying to pit people against one another, trying to pit groups against one another. I also think that New Yorkers have seen this before…and it doesn’t work. It is repugnant to the concept of what New York is. New York celebrates over diversity. Today we have parades to celebrate our diversity.”

Pressed by Marcia Kramer on Paladino’s chastisement of Cuomo for bringing his daughters along with him to march in the Gay Pride Parade back in June, Cuomo quipped: “He’s probably the last person I’ll take advice from on how to raise my daughters.”

Between Andrew (in my opinion of course) responding just as needed, Donovan and Lazio coming out against Paladino, Cox semi-coming out, this show is becoming more entertaining. The state GOP has really provided a great case study in how to screw up royally time and time again… Lazio still wouldve lost but at least he wouldnt have sucked away any remaining dignity the NY GOP had…

Agree with you about the state GOP screwing things up again.

Then again — why should one be surprised? I’m not.

I saw Cox totally screw up McCain’s campaign in New York. Yeah — McCain couldn’t have won — however Cox and his people made some big mistakes.

I was surprised that after having ignored New York outside of NYC in 08 – the state GOP appointed him as chairman.

And now what? We’ll get Lurie back? He did nothing worthwhile with the state campaigns when he was there the last time. Why give him another opportunity to kill the party?

Next thing we’ll hear — is that little CC is back in town if he isn’t already — sometimes I think I see his grimy thumb print.

When does the political pandering of Andrew Cuomo end and good commonsense parenting begin? A gay pride parade is no event for any minor child to be at with its flamboyant and flagrant displays of overt sexuality by over-the-top drag queens and others. I understand why some individuals in the gay community resort to extreme displays of sexuality and what most people would consider offensive public behavior. Sometimes such behavior is necessary to promote tolerance, equality, and acceptance. However, I’m an adult and not an impressionable minor child who doesn’t have the necessary life experiences or maturity to separate the outrageous actions of a few from the goal of acceptance for all. . Andrew Cuomo, himself, lives in an openly heterosexual sexual relationship with his paramour, Sandra Lee, in the presence of his daughters apparently not caring what effect that living arrangement also has on his minor daughters.
