Irish Voice For Coffey
Sean Coffey has landed the second newspaper endorsement of his AG bid from the Irish Voice – a not-so-surprising development, considering the fact that he is a first-generation Irish-American.
This comes on the heels of the Post endorsement of Coffey, which came on Tuesday. The editorial isn’t on-line for some reason, but it appears on P. 16 of the paper. Here’s an excerpt:
“Lookin at the level of political corruption in New York, it is clear that the state needs a new broom attorney general who can provide the proper oversight and expertise.”
“Sean Coffey, son of Irish immigrants, a decorated Navy veteran and skilled advocate, seems like that man.”
“His lack of clubhouse political experience may be his greatest asset as the state needs someone untainted from all previous cozy arrangements that the other leading candidates are all part of. He is fearless, competent and hasa bold vision to root out corruption. For that reason, he has our endorsement.”
