Republican NY-24 candidate Richard Hanna will be collecting the in-person endorsement of former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani in Utica this Wednesday as his second quest to oust Democratic Rep. Mike Arcuri heads into the home stretch.

“I support Richard Hanna because he has a proven track record of building a business and creating jobs Upstate,” Giuliani said in a press release. “Who better to rebuild Upstate than someone with first-hand experience.”

“I’m thrilled to endorse Richard. He’s a no-nonsense man, who will represent you with honesty in Congress. He’s a leader Upstaters can be proud of.”

Giuliani has stepped up his involvement in NYS races as he stumps for various GOP candidates around the country. He has already endorsed Michael Grimm (who defeated Michael Allegretti in NY-13 last Tuesday), Nan Hayworth (NY-19 (fixed)) and John Gomez (NY-2). The former mayor also campaigned with David Malpass, who lost his bid to challenge US Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand to former Rep. Joe DioGuardi.
