Bill Clinton For Hall
Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to headline a fundraiser this Sunday for Democratic Rep. John Hall (NY-19), who, according to a Kos poll released yesterday, is leading his GOP challenger, Nany Hayworth, by just two percentage points. ‘
Hayworth is a self-funder and a newcomer to politics who handily defeated her long-shot primary challenger, Neil Di Carlo, in yesterday’s GOP contest.
Tickets to the Clinton event, which is being held in Cortland Manor, start at $150 per person (for a general reception) and run to $2,400 (for sponsors and a VIP reception). An e-mail invite from the former president (a Westchester County resident) stated:
“Dear Friend -
This is very simple: I love living in the Hudson Valley. And we have a great congressman in John Hall. Please join me Sunday in Cortlandt Manor to help re-elect John!
Thank you,
Bill Clinton
Clinton has been stepping up his efforts on behalf of embattled Democratic House members in New York. He appeared this summer at a fundraiser for Rep. Tim Bishop (NY-1) and recently hosted a rally for Rep. Mike McMahon (NY-13).
