Paladino Sends Duck To Protest Cuomo (Updated)

Capital Tonight’s Kaitlyn Ross sent the photo below from Glens Falls, where she is covering Andrew Cuomo’s RV tour.

That was closely followed by an official press release – and another photo – from Carl Paladino’s campaign, which took responsibility for the duck, dubbed “Mario Jr.”

“Andrew Cuomo ducks vital policy questions like Obamacare because he knows New Yorkers won’t support his tired progressive agenda,” Paladino campaign manager Michael Caputo said.

“Does Cuomo support Obamacare? Why won’t he join the 20-plus states signed on to federal lawsuits challenging the Constitutionality of Obamacare? It’s time for Andrew Coumo to pick a side – Obamacare or New Yorkers – and Mario Jr. will be tailing Cuomo’s ‘Retread New York’ RV tour to remind him.”

Caputo is trying to play off the fact that “New New York” was a slogan Cuomo’s father, former Gov. Mario Cuomo, also employed back in the early 90s.

The duck is handing out flyers, the text of which appears after the jump.

UPDATE: The Democrats’ response, via state Chairman Jay Jacobs, is basically to call Paladino crazy for the second time today. I’m not sure that won’t come back to bite them, but here’s the statement: “Carl Paladino sends a duck to a political event? Of course. Paladino is a quack.”

• On March 21st, Carl Paladino wrote to urge Andrew Cuomo to join the federal suit against Obamacare. Now its four months later – still no answer.
• Why hasn’t Andrew Cuomo announced his position on the Obamacare mega-tax?
• Why hasn’t our Attorney General signed on to the federal legal challenge to Obamacare?

New York needs a leader to fight for taxpayers and limit federal power.

Where are his plans for the future, where are his ideas for making NYS a better place, where are his ideas for making NYS's budget issues be solve???
And the voters want to hear specifics- not this nonesense “'I'll cut this and I'll cut that, and I'll use a baseball bat to negotiate with Albany.” That does nothing to solve the issues confronting the state.
If this is what Batter Dino will be spending his money on, he might as well go back to Buffalo and suck up more government funded construction contracts that made him rich…..

LMAO… go get him Paladino. Cuomo is Prince Andrew and he needs to be de-throned. He has been very quiet about his beliefs for a reason. And he is starting to take on a tea party type personna that those who know better know is a big LIE. Do not be fooled…He is NO moderate at all.

He tries to smear Carl for being wealthy (self-made, albeit) all while he has his own inherited family wealth and political money from special interest groups that he claims to denounce. That includes taking money from lawyers and law firms that have cases before him as attorney general. Really! Not to mention that he has over 131 donors (many corporations and other special interest groups) who have given him more than $37,800

Carl has only 1 person donating that much to his campaign … himself. The majority of his donors( so far have given $100 or less. I think he is truly the grassroots candidate.

The AG lawsuit against Obamacare is a GOP political game.
At least 20 of the AGs are Republicans.
The suit is based,in one matter, on the interstate commerce clause; and whether this clause can be used to mandate health insurance coverage.
It will be decided in the courts.
And that is why it is important to get a favorable majority on the Supreme Court.
When is the swing Supreme Kennedy going to retire?

The canard that small businesses will pay more to cover employees, and that is damering employment, is a ruse.
Under Obamacare, small businesses will get good subsidies to cover employees.
And if the business still cannot afford it, the employee can use the exchange.
