Silver, Sampson Still Negotiating Education Cuts
Speaker Sheldon Silver and Senate Democratic Conference Leader John Sampson just emerged from a leader’s meeting with Governor Paterson, and told Capital Tonight’s Mike Whittemore they are still negotiating education cuts.
Both also expressed optimism that they would be able to have the spending plan passed by early next week.
