Levy Not On The Ballot
There will be no primary between Rick Lazio and Steve Levy
Votes are in on the Wilson Pakula motion, that would have cleared the way for Levy to challenge Rick Lazio in September. Levy fell short of the 50 percent needed to get on the ballot.
Here were the results:
Yes (letting Levy on the ballot) – 42.7%
No (preventing him from getting on the ballot) – 57%
Carl Paladino has pledged to petition to get on the ballot and launch a primary challenge against Rick Lazio. But Steve Levy doesn’t have that option because he is technically still a Democrat until November, when his party affiliation will officially switch over.
