Dems’ Push To Retain Senate Majority
The stakes couldn’t be higher for Republicans this fall. If they fail to win back control of the state senate, they will have no power in how district lines are drawn following the 2010 Census. Assuming the partisan redistricting process remains in place, one Democratic Senate leader has even talked of wanting to redistrict the GOP into oblivion.
Josh Cherwin, Executive Director of the State Democratic Senate Campaign Committee, is deeply involved in the Democrats’ effort to retain the majority. He spoke to Liz Benjamin Friday from New York City.
