Employers shouldn't be taking advantage of illegal migrants looking for work here - and that's what happens when people look the other way. The people truly losing here when NO ONE TAKES ACTION on the issue, is that the most vulnerable part of the equation gets hurt - aka, the illegal immigrants trying to make a decent wage. This goofy group protesting Levy is just making it worse. Someone NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING. Steve Levy is the child of immigrants anyway – he’s NOT against LEGAL immigration, just as he said. Employers shouldn’t be taking advantage of illegal migrants looking for work here – and that’s what happens when people look the other way. The Woolworth Kitchen is in her district and she represents one of the more diverse districts in the city, with plenty of people who are immigrants, children of immigrants, parents of immigrants, friends of immigrants, employers of immigrants, employees of immigrants. Why isn't SHE attending this rally against Levy? Or does she agree with him that "kitchen staff" should be deported? It’s funny but where is Council member Margaret Chin on this?
