A Charter Invite To Obama
Assemblyman Sam Hoyt, a pro-charter school Buffalo Democrat, forwarded this video made by charter school students in the so-called “Rust Bowl” city, inviting President Obama to stop by during his visit there Thursday.
It’s unlikely the president is going to heed this call, no matter how big a premium his administration has put on charter schools. (Recall that lifting the charter cap is big part of landing “Race to the Top” funds).
Rep. Brian Higgins said yesterday Obama’s Buffalo trip is going to be very brief – about three hours. He so far has just one scheduled stop at a metal fabrication business, Industrial Support Inc.
Obama is due in NYC Thursday night for a high-dollar fundraiser to benefit the DCCC.
